Group travel that arrives as one party

Moving a group is harder than moving one person, because every extra passenger adds a pickup address, a bag and a time to agree. That is why group transport Manchester organisers value should start with one person, one booking and one plan. It is private group transport, so only your party travels, and we take the headcount first before we choose the vehicle that keeps everyone together.

Some groups fit in one V-Class, but others need a Sprinter, a coach or a small convoy of cars, so the right group transport depends on the numbers, the luggage and where everyone starts. Below, you can pick your group size, see how the day might run and check what it costs, and then you can ask for a written quote. If you would like to compare the cars first, our Mercedes chauffeur fleet shows every one.

Several cars, one arrival

Several pickups, several vehicles, one arrival

Not every group starts in the same place, so a short plan keeps everybody on schedule. The example below shows how it can work.

Example plan only: the places and times are illustrative, and we plan yours around your own addresses.
  1. One organiser, one booking

You send the headcount, the pickups and the destination once, and we plan every vehicle around them.

  2. Staggered pickups

Each car collects from a different address at a different time, so each pickup is timed for its own address.

  3. Arrive together, leave together

The cars reach the venue at the same time, and we can plan the collection afterwards in the same way.

We quote extra pickup addresses in writing, so you see the whole plan before you pay. However, if you would rather keep everyone in one vehicle, you can weigh a Sprinter against several cars.

Who books group transport

Group transfers for the occasions that bring people together

Different groups need different plans, so here is how the most common ones usually work.

Night out

Hen party transport, stag dos and birthdays

Hen party transport Manchester groups book works best by the hour, because one car stays with the party from the first drink to the last. You move between the hotel, the restaurant and the venue without queuing for a ride, so nobody has to be the driver. Hourly hire has a three-hour minimum, and a V-Class costs £65 to £75 an hour plus VAT, depending on the length of the booking.

Term-time journeys, open days and airport runs at the start and end of a term suit a pre-booked chauffeur, because parents know who is collecting their child. Where a passenger is under 18, a parent, guardian or responsible adult should arrange the booking. In addition, every chauffeur is DBS-checked, and we send their details before travel.

Plan the term-start airport run
Family and friends

Family group travel

Because three generations, a pile of cases and one pickup address is a job for a V-Class, it suits families, since it which carries up to six passengers and six cases. You can request child seats, so tell us the ages when you book, and then the chauffeur helps with the luggage at your door.

Events and celebrations

Weddings, match days and concerts

Guests who arrive together start the day better, because it keeps the group calm, whether that is a wedding party, a match-day group or a concert crowd. We plan the pickups around the venue, so the group can plan to reach the door together, and we can arrange the journey home as well.

However, we charge extras such as additional mileage, tolls, parking and extended hire separately, and your written quote confirms everything. How to book

Booking group transport: send one message, get one plan

Every group booking starts with the same five details, so the whole thing can run as a single conversation.

Group chatSaturday night
  1. Organiser

Hello, there are 14 of us travelling on Saturday from three different places. Could you help us travel together?

  2. MCH

Of course, we would be happy to help, so could you please send us the date and times, each pickup address, the number of passengers, where you are going and how much luggage you have?

  3. Organiser

Thank you. We will also need two child seats, please.

  4. MCH

Thank you. We will recommend the vehicles that suit your group, such as a 16-seater Sprinter or three V-Classes, and then we will send one written quote for everyone.

  5. Organiser

That looks good, so we accept the quote, and the payment is made.

  6. MCH

Thank you very much. We will send your chauffeur and vehicle details before you travel, and each chauffeur will collect your group at the agreed time.

Ask as early as you can, because the right vehicle depends on the date. Where Sprinters and coaches are involved, we confirm everything in writing before we accept the booking.

Questions from organisers

Group transport Manchester: your questions answered

How does group transport work with MCH?

Group transport Manchester bookings work the same way, because one person books for the whole group. First, you send the headcount, the pickup addresses and times, the destination and the luggage, and then we match the vehicles, plan the pickups and send one written quote. Your chauffeur and vehicle details arrive before travel.

How many people fit in one vehicle?

An E-Class takes up to three passengers and a V-Class up to six, with six cases. A Sprinter carries eight or sixteen, while a midi coach up to 32 and a full-size coach up to 55. Interiors vary by vehicle, so tell us what you need, and our minibus options by seat count compare both Sprinters.

Can we book several cars for one group?

Yes. With enough notice we can supply up to around 20 V-Classes from our own fleet, so a group can split across several cars, leave from different addresses and still arrive together.

How much does group transport in Manchester cost?

You pay per vehicle, so the price per person falls as the vehicle fills. V-Class hire by the hour is £75, £70 or £65 an hour plus VAT, depending on whether you book 3 to 4, 5 to 7 or 8 to 12 hours. We quote Sprinters and coaches in writing for each journey.

Can the group be collected from different addresses?

Yes, within one booking. We plan a pickup time for each address so that the vehicles arrive together, and we quote extra pickup addresses in writing before you pay.

Who pays, and can we split the cost?

The person who books pays MCH in advance, so your chauffeur never takes payment. However, how the group shares the cost is up to you, and the examples above show how the per-person figure works out.

Do you provide hen party transport in Manchester?

Yes. Hen and stag groups usually book by the hour, so one car stays with the party all evening. Hourly hire has a three-hour minimum, and then the service ends in the same area where it began.

Can you collect students and school groups?

Yes. Where any passenger is under 18, a parent, guardian or responsible adult should arrange the booking. Every chauffeur is DBS-checked, and we also send the chauffeur details before travel.

How long will the chauffeur wait for a group?

At an airport the chauffeur waits for 60 minutes from the pickup time you selected, and at other pickups for 30 minutes. Tell us if anyone is running late, because longer waiting may be charged and depends on the chauffeur’s next booking.

How much luggage can a group bring, and do you provide child seats?

The standard allowance is one case and one carry-on bag for each passenger, while a V-Class carries six cases. You can request child seats, so tell us the ages when you book.

What if the group size or the plan changes?

Tell us as soon as you know, because we choose the vehicle by headcount, and a bigger or smaller group may need a different vehicle. Because MCH reserves a chauffeur and vehicle once payment is taken and the booking is allocated, refunds are not available after that point. Standard notice is 24 hours, but bookings with several vehicles or on busy dates may need longer, which we tell you in the quote.

How early should we book group transport?

As early as you can. The right vehicle depends on the date, and we arrange Sprinters and coaches through partner operators, so we confirm them in writing. Send the date, the headcount and the pickups, and then we tell you what is available.
