Book a chauffeur in four steps

From the first click to the meeting point, here is what happens.

  1. Choose your journeyEnter the pickup, the destination, the date and time, and the number of passengers and cases.
  2. See your priceThe booking tool shows the price for your journey, so you know the figure before you commit.
  3. Send your requestSave your card securely through Stripe. Chauffeurs never take payment themselves.
  4. Get your confirmationMCH reviews your request. Once it is accepted, you receive written confirmation with your booking ID and hire number, then your chauffeur's name and the car details before you travel.

What to know before you book

Pay shortly before travel

You save your card securely through Stripe when you request your booking, and MCH usually charges it about 24 hours before your journey, or earlier for same-day, multi-day and multi-journey bookings. Chauffeurs never accept cash or card payments themselves.

24 hours' notice

Standard bookings need at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or amend. Peak dates, large events and multi-vehicle bookings can need longer, and once a chauffeur and car are allocated, refunds are not available.

Waiting time included

Airport collections include 60 minutes of waiting and other pickups include 30 minutes, counted from the pickup time you select.

Booking for someone else

Assistants, travel managers and family members can book for a passenger. Just give us the booker's details and the passenger's details.

Insured and DBS-checked

Hire and reward insurance covers every booking, with DBS-checked chauffeurs and Mercedes-Benz cars under four years old.

Luggage and child seats

Tell us about extra luggage, sports equipment or child seats when you book, so MCH sends the right car.

Booking a chauffeur: your questions answered

How do I book a chauffeur with MCH?

Use the booking tool on this page to enter your journey, see your price and confirm. If you would rather talk it through, message MCH on WhatsApp or call, and we will arrange the booking with you.

Can I see a price before I book?

Yes. You see the price for your journey before you commit. For an idea in advance, the airport transfer, long distance and hourly hire pages each show guide prices.

How do I pay?

You save your card securely through Stripe when you request your booking, and MCH usually charges it about 24 hours before your journey, or earlier for multi-day and multi-journey bookings. Chauffeurs never accept cash or card payments themselves, so everything is settled in advance. Gratuities are entirely at the passenger's discretion.

Is my booking confirmed straight away?

No. An online booking is a request until MCH accepts it. If MCH cannot take the journey, for example because of availability or because it is very close to the travel time, we tell you and your card is not charged.

Can I add a stop or a return journey?

Yes. Add stops in the booking tool for airport and A to B transfers, and add a return journey once you have chosen your car. If the return uses a different car, party or luggage, you simply choose again for that journey, and both stay in one booking.

Can I book for someone else?

Absolutely. Give us the booker's details and the passenger's details, with a name, phone number and email address for each. If they are the same person, just say so, and for a company we also need the company name and invoice address.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Standard bookings need at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or amend. Peak dates, large events and multi-vehicle bookings can need longer, and once MCH has taken payment and allocated a chauffeur and car, refunds are not available.

Can I book at short notice?

MCH welcomes last-minute bookings subject to availability, although we encourage at least 24 hours' notice. For an urgent journey, message us on WhatsApp or call, and we will tell you straight away whether we can help.

Can I book a return journey?

Yes. MCH books a return as a separate journey, with a return discount where possible, so you can choose different times and addresses for each leg.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

MCH monitors your flight on airport collections and includes 60 minutes of waiting from the pickup time you select. If a delay runs beyond that, MCH tries to extend the wait but cannot guarantee it, so please tell us about any change early.
